The Hewlett Packard LaserJet 3150 Printer - a Multi-Purpose Compatible Machine

As a scanner, this machine is never without allowing you flexibility. Scanning resolutions include 300 dots per inch (optical) with 256 grayscale levels. However, it may also be enhanced to scan with resolutions of up to 600 dots per inch. Scanning speed, excluding transfer of data from the computer’s CPU, is 6 pages per minute. Scannable areas include 2″ x 3.5″ (minimum) and 8.5″ x 39″ (maximum).
As a fax machine, a single page takes about 6 seconds to transmit. It has an automatic document feeder that can handle up to 30 pages. Fax paper sizes that can be used include A4, letter, legal and long page. Resolution may be set to standard (203 x 98 dpi), fine (203 x 196 dpi) and superfine (300 x 300 dpi). Then there is also photo mode (300 x 300 dpi) which is halftone enabled.
Modem speed is variable, at 2400-14400 bits per second. It is compatible with ITU group 3, and uses a variety of fax coding compressions (MMR / MH / MR / JBIG). There is also a fully programmable quick dial function (175 speed dials and 25 distribution lists).
Just because it packs in a variety of features doesn’t mean the unit is very bulky. In fact, it’s very compact, and will fit into virtually any space available in an office or workplace. It measures 10.8 inches in height, 15.1 inches in width, and 15.4 inches in depth. This laser jet weighs 23.4 lbs, with the HP Cartridges inside. Ease of operation is ensured by the LCD and 35 buttons on the control panel.
You can do your printing and scanning jobs all at the same time with this machine. But what if you are currently printing something and a fax comes in? There is an onboard 2 MB memory, which can store a maximum of 150 pages of fax. The fax that comes in will be stored, to be processed after the ongoing task is done.
